a 5 - 10 week-long season.

A hybrid "Extended tournament" structure highlights consistent decks and players but a cut to top ( 10, 13, or 16 ) on the final session allows for any player on their game to win.

rewards include custom colored BLIght club clay poker chips as seasonal perks, along with collector packs, foil cedh staples, season exclusive blight clubs mats and cash, depending on your club size.

support your local blight club, grown your community, unlock the perks, and come play to win !

Types of clubs

This "Design" mirrors that of a Local Game Store (LGS), focusing on hosting leagues and building a long-term network of partnerships within its operational area. It aims to cater to a medium to large population, including supporting nearby towns

(see non-conventional clubs for reference)

Goals:

  • Community Growth

    • Engaging with and onboarding new members, particularly those new to or outside of cEDH.

    • to expand the format and Blight Club itself.

  • Fostering Blight Ideology

    •  Promoting an inclusive, pro-proxy environment where the focus is on learning, personal growth, a competitive mindset and the forging of genuine friendships.

Objectives:

  • Establish Leagues

    • Create and manage leagues to provide a structured competitive environment.  The focus should be consistency, which in turn shows the community that Blight Club is dependable.

  • Inter-Club Integration

    • Collaborate with other Blight Clubs to integrate players into unified projects like online and in-person tournaments, Player of the Year matches, etc.

  • Community Outreach

    • Extend the club's influence to underserved communities through outreach programs. This could involve:

      • FNM Raids: Visiting a store on Friday Night Magic or similar events to show support, bringing the club spirit with Blight branded materials (mats, shirts, etc.).

      • Supporting Non-Blight Tournaments: Involving our club members in local tournaments is a fantastic opportunity, not only for promoting the club but also for providing players with experiences beyond our usual club meta.

  • Host Tournaments

    • Organize local tournaments to enhance the competitive atmosphere, providing players with concrete goals to pursue, thereby helping to grow the format's popularity and participation.
